Control (MPBetreibV - §6)
At least every two
years an inspection of all adjustments and functions has to
be carried out by an authorized person (according to paragraph 4 of
above German law).
Adjustable
Latching Mechanisms and Continuously Adjustable Clamping Mechanisms
Our adjustable
latching mechanism is a registered working model (DBGM) and is also
covered under German patent applications No. 19534472 and
No. 19534476.
Our continuously adjustable clamping mechanism has been patented under
German Patent No. 19506461.
The Rhine-Westphalian TÜV, Essen, the North-Rhine-Westphalian State
Occu-pational Health and Safety Agency,
Düsseldorf, and the State Occupational Health and Safety Agency,
Detmold, have confirmed that our employment of said paten--ted
devices or devices for which patents have been applied for is in
compliance with the provisions of DIN 31001. DIN 31001 covers safety
devices, safe design practices for items of technical products,
associated terminology, and the dimen-sions of
safety zones for both adults and children.
Here is a brief excerpt from p. 7 of DIN 31001:
”However, said statement (Note added by AGA: Said statement refers to
the di-mensions of safety zones and safety
devices to be employed in hazardous areas.) shall not be construed as
automatically implying that technical products are unsafe if
compliance with said safety zones is not maintained, since hazardous
areas may be secured in a variety of ways.”
Our adjusting mechanisms may be adapted to suit the weights of the
headrests, backrests, seats, footrests, or table components they are
to adjust in order to pre-vent the latter from
accidentally falling off.
All AGA‑tables may also be retrofitted with our adjustable latching
mechanism for which patents have been applied for or with our patented
”spring-loaded brake” in order to obtain compliance with DIN 31001.
The adjustment mechanisms used on our continuously adjustable
headrests, back-rests, etc., may interchanged
from side to side in order to allow adjusting the latter from either
their right-hand or left-hand sides.
With your purchase of AGA products you are acquiring medical products
that are fully up to the current state of the technique.
